AFTF's Premier in Denver A Total Blow Out Success



A first for AFTF, Peter Boyle interviewed Aaron Russo on the local Denver public TV broadcasting channel 12, KBDI.

According to local AFTF Colorado coordinator, Tom Hemingway, Aaron "hit the ball out of the park" in this interview. It was an amazing one hour of energy, information and call-in feedback from viewers who were extremely interested in Aaron, AFTF and the subject matter of his movie.

The next morning Aaron Russo was invited to be the main guest on Peter Boyle's local talk radio show, "Colorado Inside Out", on KHOW 630 AM.

Originally, the Denver Regency Theatre had two screenings scheduled for last night. The first prime-time evening showing at 7:30 pm was sold out in advance so they decided to add a second prime-time screening which, too, became sold out. In addition they had a late evening screening which was very well attended. Indications earlier this evenings had two additional prime-time evening screenings this evening, 9/30, sold out.

Chicago Birth of AFTF Slogan/Motto



On Saturday, September 23rd, Aaron Russo, AFTF volunteers and members of the Lone Lantern Society (LLS) met at the LLS meeting in a Lincoln Park coffee shop where this motto was formally reiterated for the second time in public:

ONE FAMILY....ONE MOVEMENT....FREEDOM FOR ALL!!

The birth of this slogan can be credited to "Ja Far" and his partner Rashid Akbar who are the organizers of the ICE Theatre screening of AFTF here in Chicago.

The original feeling behind this slogan came from deep within the heart of the black community here in Chicago. The first public utterance of this slogan came at the private meeting Aaron had on Friday, 9/22, with some of the leading ministers and pastors - including one of the most famous Catholic priests in the world - in the black community here in Chicago. The organizers of this meeting even made a cake for Aaron to show their sincere gratitude for what he has done in bring the truth about modern slavery back into the public consciousness of our world.

NOTE: the editor of this blog is big into the significance of numbers - their prime roots and cycles as these perfect patterns manifest throughout history. The day of this incredibly powerful and emotional "meeting and screening with the ministers" in Chicago's black community just "happened to be" the 144th anniversary of the first official utterance of Abraham Lincoln's most famous official public document - ie. The Emancipation Proclamation.

Whereas, on the twenty-second day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two, a proclamation was issued by the President of the United States, containing, among other things, the following, to wit:

AFTF Screening in Sioux Falls SD To Benefit Amendment E



Five screenings of AFTF are scheduled on Friday October 27, 2006 and Saturday the 28th at The Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center in Sioux Falls, SD. These screenings will benefit AFTF and Amendment E.

What is Amendment E?

Last summer and fall, some 46,800 South Dakotans signed the Judicial Accountability Amendment petition. You may have been one of them. If so, thank you for helping to get the Amendment on the November 2006 ballot as Amendment E!

Basically what Amendment E will do is create a "citizen's oversight committee" with the sole purpose of hearing complaints against judges alleging judicial misconduct.

I and many other local Chicago AFTF volunteers are either members of LLS or have worked closely with other LLS members on various projects such at the 911revealingthetrutn.org conference in Chicago last June. LLS members have been very active and supportive in our quest to distribute AFTF flyers and promotion DVDs at various meetings and events around Chicago. Special thanks to LLS Founder, Gary Franchi, for inviting Aaron to another great meeting.

Aaron Russo To Meet With Key Black Ministers/Pastors Tomorrow



Much planning has gone into organizing a key meeting/screening that will involve many of the key religious leaders within the black community here in Chicago. Special thanks to the leadership committee at the Chicago Arts Initiative for putting this together.

ConsciousChoice.com Navy Pier Chicago NIMAX Screening Of AFTF A BIG Success!



The local managers and editors of Chicago's Conscious Choice Magazine went out on a financial-political limb to organize this screening. It required a great leap of faith and empowering vision to make this happen here in the heart of the midwest, but with some 75-80% seats in the 441 seat theatre sold on a Thurday workday evening everyone was thrilled with the turnout.

Aaron did a wonderful job with the Q & A which followed the screening. He got the usual standing ovation. This was not your typical patriot-liberty crowd. There were many unwashed US Citizens who were exposed to the truth of fascism in our midst for the first time. Hushed cries and comments under the breath evoking a mix of horror and wonder could be heard in the audience throughout the movie.

The only suprise, which I missed, was the extraordinary heavy local Chicago police and security detail that were combing the plazas of the lower level of Navy Pier. Charles Shaw, the local editor of Chicago's Conscious Choice Magazine commented after the screening that someone had called what turned out to be a bogus report that there would be acts of violence sometime prior/during/after the screening of AFTF.

Nothing but peaceful and postive vibes of concerned citizens could be found. One fellow by the name of "Sam" drove all the way from Houston, Texas. He was thrilled to meet Aaron and I put him in touch with Troy, our lead AFTF volunteer coordinator for Houston.

One of our local AFTF volunteers came up to me after the screening to announce that he is planning to "make a six figure donation" to AFTF in the next month. Many of our local volunteers where there passing out flyers for the upcoming ICE Theatre AFTF screening which will begin on 9/25 which will benefit inner city youth scholarship programs for Chicago youth.

Folks I just got through watch a movie called: America:Freedom to Fascism .... it will make you extremely uncomfortable but it a must see movie. It starts out showing about federal income tax and how there is no law requiring any american to file a tax return, how intimitation and force is use .... how the federal reserve bank is a private bank ... then it go on to show how the New World Order plans to take over.

I'm thinking even some of the bushies are going to be distrubed by this film.

Only Liberals can take something wonderful and beautiful like America and the American society and claim it would be something ugly and dangerous. Now they actually complain that they have to pay taxes! Can you believe it? We always knew that liberals are cowards and slackers, they have proven this to us over and over again. They want to cut and run in Iraq, they don’t want to fight against terrorism and crime, don’t want to fight against drugs and poverty and now this?

It is just shameful. I am a very proud American but the thought that people like this also claim to be American makes me sick. They are not American, they are something else. The movie company “Cinema Libre Studio” has strong ties to the Venezuelan government. I believe they are directly funded by Hugo Chavez!

AFTF Volunteers Visit Camp Democracy in DC



Encouraged yesterday by a promise - ie. "a very good chance" - to show AFTF, Art Pollock, his son, Allen Pollock and David Noe - along with other AFTF volunteers, Steven, et. al. visited Camp Democracy which bills itself as "a non-partisan camp for peace, democracy, and the restoration of the rule of law." Camp Democracy originated with Cindy Sheehans's Camp Casey moved from Crawford, Texas, to Washington, D.C., to create a larger camp focused not only on ending the war but also on righting injustices here at home and on holding accountable the Bush Administration and Congress.

Art wrote:

as promised. We still brought awareness of the film to quite a few people from our trip to the nations capitol."

AMERICA: FREEDOM TO FASCISM
I finally received a DVD of the full length movie, and watched it last night.

The short review is that if Fahrenheit 9-11 won the "Palm D-Or", then "AMERICA: FREEDOM TO FASCISM" deserves the whole tree! This is the film that F/9-11 aspired to but failed to be.

Far from the extremist screed that its attackers portray it to be, "America" starts out as a genuinely objective search to find out the reality behind the claims of the Tax Honesty movement. In scene after scene, Aaron Russo tries to get the answer to one simple question; what is the law that requires American workers to pay income tax on their wages and salaries. At every turn, he is rebuffed by IRS officials, with one notable exception. Aaron did secure an interview with former IRS Commissioner Sheldon Cohen who makes the amazing statement that US Supreme Court rulings are irrelevant when it comes to interpretation and enforcement of the IRS code, and moreover chides Aaron for refusing to "believe" that he owes taxes. By this time, Aaron and the audience are convinced that the Tax Honesty people are onto something!

“This is a waste of time,” grouses former IRS Commissioner Sheldon Cohen during the key interview in Aaron Russo's amazing documentary America: From Freedom to Fascism. “Whatever I say you won't believe.”

Cohen, who is now General Counsel to the IRS, had been pinned down by Russo's polite but persistent cross-examination regarding The Question That Must Not Be Answered: What is the specific, explicit statute that requires Americans to pay taxes on their labor and earnings?

Russo, like any rational being who believes in individual freedom, is not inclined to believe unsupported assertions of power from government functionaries. Like any patriotic American, Russo is prepared to obey the law, however onerous or objectionable, as long as it can be clearly explained to him.
