A Letter to AFTF Volunteers:

There's an incredible buzz of energy, activity and truth flowing in the wake of this movie.

The results of all of our hard work nationwide within this loosely knit volunteer network are goingto continue to manifest and expand in very powerful ways. I have witnessed this firsthand here in Chicago and we're witnessing the sharing of the same effects around the country.

I just got off the phone with Richard Castro, VP of Theatrical Distribution, at Cinema Libre. He said he's amazed at the very high level of booking interest he's been getting from all across the country. Hundreds of theatres are calling him to request - DEMAND even! - to screen/show/promote Aaron's movie. Richard said he's been involved in dozens of these independent films and it's very, very unusual to see this extremely high level of pre-release interest coming from theatres. His normal procedure is to call the theatres trying to convince them to screen these independent movies.

There have been dozens of incredible stories we've received from volunteers over the past 1-2 weeks that testify to the incredible power of this movie.

Some of our leading volunteers will be videoing and recording digital pictures of the historic events of this weekend. I spoke to Aaron this morning and he's committed to making a commercial out of these clips of feedback from movie-goers this weekend that testify to the extreme power of the truth behind this movie.

Congressman McFadden on the Federal Reserve Corporation Remarks in Congress, 1934

On May 23, 1933, Congressman, Louis T. McFadden, brought formal charges against the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Bank system, The Comptroller of the Currency and the Secretary of United States Treasury for numerous criminal acts, including but not limited to, CONSPIRACY, FRAUD, UNLAWFUL CONVERSION, AND TREASON. The petition for Articles of Impeachment was thereafter referred to the Judiciary Committee and has YET TO BE ACTED ON.

I don't mean to invoke the name of Harry Knowles in my reviews two weeks in a row, but in the same lengthy conversation in which he accused me of being too old to appreciate Lady in the Water (apparently most of America was also "too old" this past weekend), he also asked me a question I never thought another human being on this planet would ask me: "Have you seen a film called America: Freedom to Fascism?" My heart practically jumped out of my chest when he spoke these words.

WGBX AM 1570 Chicago To Interview Aaron at 7 pm

Bishop Monroe Mullins will be interviewing Aaron Russo from 7-8 pm this evening on his weekly radio show from the south side of Chicago.

Promoting AFTF "On The Street" here in Chicago..

Last Thursday, July 20th, John Dean from Watergate fame, visited the GIANT Borders Books on North Clark street here in Chicago - located right across the street from the Landmark Theatre where Aaron Russo's film will open here in Chicago on Friday, July 28th - to promote his new book, "Conservatives Without Conscience".

Three AFTF volunteers were there, including myself, to pass out AFTF flyers will people were waiting in line to get John to sign a copy of his book during the period prior to John Dean's talk to what was a pretty packed crowd.

Paul DiGuida, one of our most aggressively persistent volunteers managed not only to share full color flyer of the movie with John, but for the remainder of the autograph session, the AFTF movie flyer remained sitting just to the left of his left arm while he signed his book for dozens of people.

Several readers have written me asking that I promote Aaron Russo's new film. Well, until recently I had not seen it, and certainly I could not promote (or criticize) a film until I had an opportunity to view it. That opportunity presented itself a few days ago in the form of a private screening.

Most readers probably already know that Aaron Russo has enjoyed a distinguished career as a film producer winning Grammy, Tony, and Emmy awards. His films have starred people such as Bette Midler, Lionel Hampton, Eddie Murphy, Nick Nolte, Morgan Freeman, and many others. To date, Russo's films have been nominated for six Academy Awards, as well as seven Golden Globes. His films have won three Golden Globes and the Image Award. His latest film is a documentary entitled, "America: Freedom To Fascism."

30 Second AFTF Radio Ad Audio

Here's the link for the radio ad that's going to be playing in the five opening cities. Some AFTF Volunteers in the Chicagoland area are creating a customized local 30 second radio add that will be sandwiched with the official radio ad from Cinema Libre and placed on two suburban stations that will reach into the far western suburbs of Chicago:

A 60 second ad runs $35 on these stations. They're planning on running several/many ads.

AFTF Volunteers in five cities gathered together to see Aaron's movie and receive flyers, postcards and direction as we move into the final two weeks prior to the premier of Aaron's film on 7/28.

The key focus of these meetings was our final push to activate the AFTF Volunteer networks in the five opening cities: Austin, Chicago, Kansas City, New York, Tampa. The full DVD of America: Freedom To Fascism (AFTF) was screened. Our lead area AFTF volunteers had an opportunity to speak along with others. This was a great opportunity to meet, greet and gather as we prepare and plan for a opening of Aaron's movie on July 28th. We distributed AFTF flyers, postcards, banners and other materials to help our group promote and launch a successful AFTF theatrical premier July 28th.

A newly published paper by a researcher for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis warns that a ballooning budget deficit and pension and welfare timebomb is growing into a $65.9 trillion fiscal gap that will force the United States into bankruptcy.

In the view of Prof. Laurence Kotlikoff of Boston University, the U.S. is already bankrupt – at least the government is.

Imagine this scenario: you call your local Pizza Palace planning to order two large pizzas with meat toppings. A female voice identifies you by your 20-digit national ID number. You gasp at the total price: $67! “You can afford it,” the girl says, “after all, you could afford to take your wife to Hawaii last year. Those plane tickets weren’t cheap.” You nearly choke. She knows I vacationed with my wife in Hawaii??? She also knows you checked out a book at the library on how to save money vacationing at the beach, though, and can name a magazine your wife subscribes to. You’re hungry, so finally you agree to all the terms and all the fees, just to get your food. “Uh-oh, looks like you’ve maxed out all your credit cards, though. Have cash on hand, okay?”
