Organizers in the greater Salt Lake City area have a 500+ seat theatre venue in a modern "megaplex" to screen Aaron's movie next month - May 17th, Wednesday.

Gene Chapman here. We are working to fly Fred down to Montgomery, Alabama to show Aaron's movie to Dr. Hobbson and Judge Moore's staff at The Foundation for Moral Law in the next two weeks. They are thinking of using Aaron's film as an exhibit in the class action I've been working on with several preachers and laypeople. Gene.

I went to see the prescreening of Aaron Russo's latest movie, America: From Freedom to Fascism, at the Hilton Phoenix Airport last night. It was a powerful and engaging film that received a well-deserved standing ovation from the group of about 120 adults in attendance, most of who were over 30.

Austin, Texas

Apparently the movie was shown recently in Austin, Texas.

The film will be introduced in person by none other than Michael Badnarik, who won the 2004 presidential nomination over Russo. Badnarik is a current candidate for Congress in Texas district 10.

Blogger seems to be working really good right now. When it's good it's good. And when it's down it's down. Good to see they are keeping us posted on the status.

Blogger is owned by Google now and it's hard to tell if Google is one of the good guys or one of the bad guys. Here's the Google search results for Freedom to Fascism.

We need to add a link from the movie trailer page back to the blog here.

And add a free sitemeter to the movie trailer page so we can see the traffic we are getting there too.

And it sure would be nice to see Aaron get on here and make a post or two himself. In fact I would say regular posting by Aaron Russo is mission critical.

Upcoming Screenings

Washington DC

Congressman Ron Paul and a group of his DC supporters are working to bring a screening of Aaron’s movie into DC sometime in early to mid June. This would also involve an appearance by Aaron himself.

Another contact in the greater DC area is also working with a large progressive democratic political organization which is interested in sponsoring a screening of Aaron’s movie in a 500+ seat theatre on the campus of a local university in the area. We’re hoping to dovetail both events side by side on two separate conjoining days.

The next local screening of Aaron’s movie in the greater Chicagoland area will take place on May 3rd at 7 pm in downtown Chicago. Seating for this screening is limited to 40-50 so please call or email to place your name on the list.

Toledo Ohio

There are folks working on getting a screening into greater Toledo Ohio area. Some of these individuals are also working with a program director of local popular radio station who wants to interview Aaron to promote the screening.

The suburb of focus is Maumee Ohio.

According to these local organizers, “Maumee is a major suburb of Toledo, Ohio. Toledo is a typical mid West industrial city in the rust belt and it is full of socialists, government lovers and authoritarians. Toledo is 60 miles southwest of Detroit, MI and 45 miles south of Ann Arbor, MI. The metropolitan area has about 500,000 population.”

A group of interested individuals from the greater Louisville area seek to somehow get Aaron’s movie exposed to some of masses that are planning to partake in the Kentucky Derby Festivities. One of these individuals wrote:

“I would like to urge you to plan a private pre-screening of your movie, "America...From Freedom to Fascism" during Kentucky Derby week. The movie will undoubtedly draw massive attention.”

One individual has stepped forward pledging to foot the bill for the rental of a major Theater in Salt Lake City at a 16 theater complex. They also have some talk radio here that they claim “can get the
message spread out with quickly.”
