There are two bills to be heard before the Judiciary Committee this Wednesday, January 24, in opposition to the National ID in Montana.

One is sponsored by Rep. Diane Rice (R) HB 384
"AN ACT NULLIFYING THE REAL ID ACT AS IT WOULD APPLY IN MONTANA; AND PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE." Click here for more.

The other is sponsored by Rep. Brady Wiseman (D) HB 287
"AN ACT OPPOSING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FEDERAL REAL ID ACT AND DIRECTING THE MONTANA DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE NOT TO IMPLEMENT THE PROVISIONS OF THE FEDERAL ACT; AND PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE." Click here for more.

Please call the Legislative phone # 406--444-4800 now, and tell the operator to leave a message for all members of the House Judiciary Committee to vote FOR these bills to oppose a national ID in Montana, which is an unnecessary control and tracking of citizens, and a usurpation of state's rights.
